Responsibilities
- Plan, design, and implement Marketplace features for fleet service scheduling, completion, approvals, transactions, billing, and payments.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, and Engineers to deliver high-quality software.
- Participate in collaborative feature design and architecture.
- Deliver well-tested, maintainable, and performant code.
- Research, prototype, and conduct technical spikes to validate assumptions and feasibility.
- Contribute a strong voice to development and planning processes.
- Review peer code for quality, consistency, and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience as a software engineer.
- 3+ years of experience with Ruby on Rails.
- 2+ years of experience with ReactJS and TypeScript.
- Firm understanding of object-oriented programming and relational databases such as PostgreSQL.
- Expertise in data modeling and query performance optimization.
- Previous experience with payment systems such as Stripe or Brex.
- Experience solving challenging architectural problems with good design.
- Experience with unit testing frameworks.
- Excellent written and general communication skills.

- Preferred: expertise consuming and integrating external APIs or webhooks, experience leading small teams or projects, fleet management industry experience, and experience building APIs for consumer or mobile app consumption.
