Responsibilities
- Define the architectural and technical direction of Storable’s consumer-facing products.
- Align technology solutions with long-term product, security, and enterprise visions and roadmaps.
- Lead cross-product discussions and drive alignment on technology strategy.
- Drive innovation and adoption of engineering principles, practices, and architectural improvements.
- Evaluate technical initiatives, recommend aligned solutions, and guide teams during implementation.
- Translate business objectives into problem statements and system requirements with product and engineering leads.
- Define standard software engineering and architecture practices across the organization.
- Mentor and collaborate with engineering and product teams.
Requirements
- 10+ years of hands-on coding experience with consumer web development technologies and architectures.
- Demonstrated success aligning large organizations around long-term technical visions and leading senior engineers through multi-quarter initiatives.
- Familiarity with highly scalable enterprise service architectures, including monitoring, analytics, and reliability engineering.
- Strong understanding of AWS and Kubernetes, with experience adopting CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code practices.
- Extensive experience designing and developing React and NodeJS applications across multiple teams.
- Experience with asynchronous event-based architectures and globally distributed, large-scale systems.
- Experience with server-side technologies, performance bottleneck identification, caching, asynchronous processing, and parallelization.
- Deep understanding of REST API design principles and practices.
- Experience with cloud configuration and deployment technologies.
- Experience with Agile software development practices.
