Responsibilities
- Deliver solutions that modernize legacy SQL-based applications and migrate them to MongoDB.
- Collaborate with customers and project teams on application redesign and cloud-native modernization initiatives.
- Apply Java, relational database, SQL, debugging, and performance-tuning skills to customer projects.
- Follow and contribute to migration and modern application development playbooks.
- Explore and innovate with GenAI tools and approaches for migration challenges.
- Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, retrospectives, and team discussions.
- Communicate technical progress, challenges, and ideas to team members and stakeholders.
- Support debugging and performance optimization during delivery projects.
Requirements
- 4–7 years of software development experience.
- Strong foundation in Java, core programming concepts, relational databases, SQL, and basic stored procedures.
- Experience with application debugging and performance tuning.
- Exposure to enterprise application architectures such as Spring Boot or Hibernate.
- Experience working in Agile teams and familiarity with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
- Ability to learn new tools, frameworks, and best practices quickly, with strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Familiarity with MongoDB or similar NoSQL databases.
- Basic knowledge of GenAI tools and APIs such as OpenAI GPT models.
- Exposure to Python for scripting or data processing.
- Basic understanding of cloud-native development concepts such as Docker, Kubernetes, and microservices.
- Hands-on experience with ORMs such as Hibernate or JPA.
- Prior MongoDB and cloud-platform experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP is a bonus.
- Knowledge of containerization, orchestration, and GenAI use-case innovation is a bonus.
