Responsibilities
- Design and develop backend services, microservices, and RESTful APIs using Java, Spring Boot, RxJava, JPA, and Hibernate.
- Deliver complete solutions across design, implementation, testing, delivery, and operations.
- Contribute to technical design and architecture discussions using established design patterns and microservices practices.
- Develop API-first solutions with OpenAPI/Swagger and messaging technologies such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
- Build automated unit and functional tests using frameworks such as TestNG.
- Support CI/CD and cloud deployments using GitHub, Docker, Kubernetes, Harness, and GCP.
- Troubleshoot application defects and performance bottlenecks, including optimization with caching and Redis.
- Use AI coding assistants for development, test generation, test-data setup, and engineering automation.
- Plan and coordinate software releases and support applications in production.
- Guide junior engineers and make technical decisions with limited day-to-day supervision.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of relevant experience and a bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with server-side Java, Spring/Spring Boot, Hibernate/JPA, REST APIs, Maven, and open-source Java libraries.
- Experience designing and delivering enterprise-scale backend services and microservices.
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, database design, query optimization, and performance tuning.
- Experience with GCP or comparable cloud platforms and containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of CI/CD practices and tools such as Harness.
- Experience with automated testing frameworks and modern software-testing practices.
- Experience with distributed caching technologies such as Redis and messaging platforms such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
- Experience participating in large-scale production releases across the full software development lifecycle.
- Familiarity with MCPs and AI application development is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
