Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and own scalable, resilient, enterprise-grade MDM platform solutions across the full software development lifecycle.
- Perform mainframe and CICS development, detailed impact analysis, complex code reviews, debugging, unit testing, and maintenance for batch and online applications.
- Tune performance and plan capacity for high-volume, latency-sensitive CICS regions by reducing I/O, CPU time, MSUs, and MIPS.
- Support CICS-to-cloud modernization and integrate mainframe systems with REST- and SOAP-based services, microservices, APIs, and modern cloud infrastructure.
- Deploy and support software releases in production and troubleshoot issues in lower pre-production environments.
- Partner with business and systems stakeholders to define requirements, solutions, estimates, and project scope.
- Provide technical leadership, guidance, mentoring, and knowledge sharing to team members.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a similar subject.
- 8–10 years of software development experience with large mainframe-based systems.
- Deep expertise in COBOL, CICS, VSAM, MQ Series, JCL, SQL, File-AID, Endevor, debuggers, schedulers, and related mainframe technologies.
- Proficiency with DB2 database management and database processing concepts; knowledge of native stored procedures is a plus.
- Experience with mainframe performance tuning, capacity planning, CICS online environments, impact analysis, and rigorous code reviews.
- Experience with File-AID, Endevor, InterTest, Abend-AID, and Control-M.
- Experience deploying and supporting software releases in production environments and strong knowledge of software testing processes.
- Experience navigating Oracle environments for triage and exposure to CICS-to-cloud integrations.
- Knowledge or experience with distributed technologies, cloud computing, Java, AI/ML, or data analytics and visualization is a plus.
- Strong analytical, interpersonal, organizational, written communication, strategic thinking, and stakeholder collaboration skills.
