Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain test cases and prepare test plan and strategy documents.
- Perform manual, functional, end-to-end, regression, smoke, and web services testing.
- Develop and implement quality control systems and conduct software quality inspections and analysis.
- Create testing defect reports, track defects to resolution, and provide timely test-result updates to management.
- Identify requirements gaps, testing challenges, impediments, and high-risk software areas.
- Drive automation initiatives using scripting languages, automation frameworks, and testing tools.
- Collaborate with development, business, and cross-functional teams to understand requirements and resolve quality issues.
- Establish collaborative relationships and help ensure successful project test phases.
- Manage conflicts, increase productivity, hire and develop talent, where applicable.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related experience.
- 4 to 6 years of software testing experience.
- Strong QA background in manual and functional testing.
- Knowledge of SQL and Oracle queries.
- Experience preparing test plans, test strategies, test cases, and requirements-gathering materials.
- Experience with web services testing and formal software test design techniques.
- Experience with functional, end-to-end, regression, and smoke testing.
- Hands-on experience with automation, frameworks, and testing tools.
- Ability to use scripting languages and logical implementations and to drive automation initiatives.
- Exposure to security and performance testing is preferred.
- Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, organizational, interpersonal, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Ability to understand project goals and requirements, identify gaps, forecast risks, and communicate impacts.
