Responsibilities
- Lead applications systems analysis, programming, architecture, and delivery of critical Python applications.
- Partner with management teams to integrate functions, define system enhancements, deploy products, and improve processes.
- Resolve high-impact problems through analysis of complex business processes, system processes, and industry standards.
- Develop coding, testing, debugging, implementation, and application design standards aligned with architecture requirements.
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, coaching, work allocation, and comprehensive code reviews for developers and analysts.
- Design, develop, troubleshoot, optimize, test, and deploy scalable distributed applications and secure APIs.
- Establish automated deployment pipelines and apply cloud, containerization, orchestration, and version-control practices.
- Use AI-enabled development tools and contribute to agentic AI and generative AI development workflows.
- Communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders while managing priorities, resources, risks, compliance, and strategic initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; a master’s degree is preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in Applications Development or Systems Analysis with substantial Python experience.
- Proven experience leading, architecting, and delivering complex software projects from inception through production deployment.
- Expert Python application-development knowledge, including Django, Flask, FastAPI, design patterns, and best practices.
- Strong knowledge of software architecture, distributed systems, object-oriented programming, microservices, and event-driven architecture.
- Extensive experience with relational and NoSQL databases, secure RESTful APIs, integration patterns, CI/CD, cloud platforms, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Proficiency with automated testing, Test-Driven Development, secure coding, application security, Git, branching strategies, and pull-request workflows.
- Exposure to TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, Copilot, Devin, Windsurf, Antigravity, Claude, Gemini, GPT, agentic AI tools, and generative AI concepts.
- Familiarity with Java, Apache Spark, Hadoop, Kafka, data processing pipelines, data warehousing, React, Angular, and Vue.js.
- Strong technical leadership, project management, stakeholder communication, resource allocation, troubleshooting, debugging, and performance-optimization skills.
- Understanding of financial-services domains, regulatory requirements, and compliance standards; relevant cloud, project-management, or Agile certifications are valued.
