Responsibilities
- Design, develop, deploy, and maintain resilient Java and Spring Boot backend services and React and TypeScript frontends.
- Build centralized tools that aggregate financial-crime risk signals into comprehensive customer risk profiles.
- Develop reusable risk-mitigation components and scalable workflows for servicing agents.
- Solve servicing and compliance bottlenecks with adaptable platform solutions for other product teams.
- Own the full product journey from problem discovery and stakeholder empathy through planning and production delivery.
- Collaborate with backend and frontend engineers, Product Managers, Analysts, and Designers.
Requirements
- Strong backend engineering experience, ideally with Java and Spring Boot, including scalable microservices in cloud-based production environments.
- Experience building performant, responsive web applications with React and TypeScript or JavaScript.
- Knowledge of clean, scalable, testable code, test coverage best practices, the test pyramid, and code reviews.
- Experience designing and implementing distributed, concurrent systems, including stateful/stateless and synchronous/asynchronous architecture tradeoffs.
- Ability to break down complex projects into incremental milestones that deliver customer value.
- Strong communication skills, including explaining technical concepts to non-technical audiences and distributed cross-functional peers.
