Responsibilities
- Translate business requirements into scalable technical designs and solution specifications.
- Design, develop, enhance, and maintain complex application components and services using VB.NET, C#, SQL Server, XML, APIs, and related frameworks.
- Serve as a technical subject matter expert and ensure architectural consistency and adherence to standards.
- Drive performance tuning, security hardening, code refactoring, modernization, and technical-debt reduction.
- Review code and provide developers with technical guidance, feedback, and best-practice recommendations.
- Collaborate with architects on solution design, integration patterns, and platform evolution.
- Troubleshoot complex production issues, perform root cause analysis, and lead incident resolution.
- Mentor junior and mid-level developers across multiple projects.
- Support requirements refinement, sprint planning, deployment planning, and release management with global teams.
- Enforce coding standards, unit-test coverage, documentation, and CI/CD hygiene.
- Provide rotational production support and help maintain application stability and service-level agreements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field.
- 7–12 years of hands-on application development experience.
- Deep expertise with VB.NET or C#, SQL Server, XML, APIs, and multi-tier application design.
- Experience with Azure cloud technologies, including App Services, Functions, Storage, SQL, and Azure SQL.
- Experience with microservices, containers, or integration frameworks.
- Experience with GitHub, Azure DevOps, or equivalent CI/CD pipelines.
- Demonstrated ability to lead development efforts, guide technical decisions, and resolve complex production issues.
- Experience working with distributed global teams and Agile/Scrum delivery.
- Experience in regulated industries such as insurance, banking, or financial services is preferred.
- Frontend exposure to React, Angular, or JavaScript is a plus.
