Responsibilities
- Automate database operations and configuration generation using AI.
- Manage and operate Amazon Aurora MySQL and PostgreSQL clusters in production.
- Perform database maintenance tasks including upgrades and parameter tuning.
- Execute Blue/Green Deployment for minimal downtime upgrades.
- Monitor and analyze database performance using AWS tools.
- Resolve performance bottlenecks through optimization techniques.
- Ensure database availability through proactive monitoring and incident response.
- Develop automation scripts and tools to improve operational efficiency.
- Establish and manage Standard Operating Procedures for database operations.
- Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams on database projects.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience as a Database Engineer.
- 2+ years of experience with AI automation in workflows or storage.
- 5+ years managing Amazon Aurora MySQL and/or PostgreSQL.
- Strong expertise in MySQL 8.0+ including replication and query optimization.
- Working knowledge of PostgreSQL including extensions and upgrades.
- Proficiency with AWS database services and related tools.
- Proficiency in Python or similar scripting languages.
- Experience in high-traffic database operations (10,000+ TPS).
