Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and evaluate modular agentic workflows, custom agent skills, and tool-calling interfaces.
- Prepare evaluation datasets and create scripts to benchmark agentic accuracy, tool-use reliability, and output consistency.
- Test NTA scripts with autonomous agents and collaborate with engineers across IP, Optical, and Fixed Networks.
- Contribute to reference HLDs and LLDs and maintain documentation, how-to guides, and wiki updates.
- Present findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences while collaborating with domain experts and engineering teams.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in the third or fourth year of a bachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer, Software, or Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field at an accredited Canadian school.
- Knowledge of artificial intelligence and machine learning concepts gained through coursework, projects, or practical experience.
- Comfort with Linux, Java, programming concepts, and scripting with Bash, Perl, and Python.
- Foundational knowledge of DevOps, infrastructure, cloud concepts, containerization, and automation workflows.
- Familiarity with Git, collaborative development, pull requests, branching, and code reviews.
- Exposure to LLMs, AI APIs, vector databases, or prompt engineering, including technologies such as OpenAI, Anthropic, or Hugging Face.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, organizational, and collaboration skills with attention to data accuracy.
- Preferred qualifications include SQL, Power Automate or other workflow automation tools, software-development internship or project experience, and exposure to forecasting, demand planning, or business performance reporting.
