Responsibilities
- Own the global card issuance process from eligibility and application through card creation, activation, provisioning, and lifecycle servicing.
- Translate business, user, payment, and regulatory requirements into architecture, trade-offs, and executable delivery plans.
- Own features from discovery through production with emphasis on security, reliability, observability, maintainability, documentation, and test coverage.
- Drive ambiguous cross-functional initiatives to completion with strong ownership and judgment.
- Build with Swift, Kotlin, or Rust and adopt new languages, platforms, and tools as needed.
- Use AI coding tools across exploration, implementation, testing, review, and documentation.
- Build reusable AI workflows, engineering harnesses, and technical knowledge bases to improve team speed and quality.
- Review code, mentor teammates, share context, and contribute to hiring, onboarding, and team-practice improvements.
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams in the US and regularly align requirements with teams in Asia.
Requirements
- B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
- Proven experience shipping and operating production-quality mobile applications with deep expertise in iOS or Android.
- Strong proficiency in at least one of Swift, Kotlin, or Rust, with willingness to learn unfamiliar languages and technology stacks.
- Regular use of AI coding tools with measurable impact on delivery speed, code quality, or engineering effectiveness.
- Professional proficiency in English and Mandarin Chinese.
- Experience with global card issuance, card processing, payments, fintech, crypto, or other high-trust financial products is preferred.
- Experience launching products across multiple countries or regulatory environments is preferred.
- Knowledge of mobile security, payment authentication, risk controls, or transaction lifecycle design is preferred.
- Experience improving mobile architecture, shared components, developer tooling, or engineering productivity at team scale is preferred.
- Experience mentoring engineers or leading cross-functional technical initiatives is preferred.
