Base Salary
$180k - $450k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and own the Hark iOS app, including architecture, UI, performance, and the end-to-end user experience.
- Ship real-time AI features involving streaming responses, voice input, tool invocations, and multimodal interactions.
- Collaborate with designers to create fast, polished, and trustworthy interfaces.
- Optimize startup time, animation smoothness, memory efficiency, and network latency.
- Own features from design and implementation through testing, launch, and iteration.
- Collaborate with platform and backend engineers on APIs, data contracts, and agent-runtime integration.
- Instrument shipped features, track performance, identify regressions, and improve based on real-world usage.
Requirements
- Strong expertise in Swift, with deep knowledge of UIKit, SwiftUI, and iOS system design.
- Proven experience building high-performance, responsive mobile applications and optimizing latency, memory, and real-time interactions.
- Experience designing and shipping intuitive, high-quality user experiences with strong attention to detail and product craft.
- Familiarity with concurrency patterns including async/await and Combine.
- Experience integrating backend systems and AI-powered services through REST and streaming APIs.
- Demonstrated ability to own features end-to-end from concept and architecture through implementation and deployment.
- At least 5 years of iOS engineering experience.
- Bonus: experience with AI-powered or agent-driven applications involving voice, multimodal input, or real-time interaction.
- Bonus: strong product intuition and experience translating emerging AI capabilities into user-facing experiences.
- Bonus: experience in early-stage or 0-to-1 environments and rapid iteration based on user feedback.
- Bonus: familiarity with the Apple ecosystem, including AVFoundation, Core ML, or real-time media processing.
- Bonus: ability to work across the stack or collaborate closely with backend and AI teams.
