QA Automation Engineer, Assistant Vice President
State StreetResponsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for digital asset platforms.
- Create and execute automated API, backend, integration, regression, and workflow test suites.
- Test custody events, token lifecycle actions, transfers, settlements, reporting, and service-to-service integrations.
- Validate data integrity and reconciliation across on-chain, off-chain, and downstream financial systems.
- Collaborate with developers and product teams on testability, acceptance criteria, and automation-ready designs.
- Support performance, resilience, negative-scenario, and error testing for high-value and time-sensitive transactions.
- Participate in defect triage and root-cause analysis to identify and prevent recurring issues.
- Align testing approaches with enterprise SDLC, risk, compliance, audit, and control-review expectations.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a QA Automation Engineer in financial services or another regulated environment.
- Strong hands-on experience automating tests for APIs and backend services, including REST APIs and service-to-service integrations.
- Solid understanding of QA practices across the full SDLC and automation-first testing strategies.
- Experience validating accuracy, integrity, and consistency of financial or transactional data.
- Strong analytical, attention-to-detail, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Working knowledge of digital asset concepts such as custody, tokenization, wallets, or blockchain transaction flows is preferred.
- Experience testing digital asset or blockchain-adjacent platforms and on-chain/off-chain integrations is preferred.
- Exposure to event-driven or streaming architectures is preferred.
- Familiarity with containerized or microservices-based platforms and Kubernetes testing environments is preferred.
- Experience with performance and resilience testing for APIs is preferred.
- Understanding of financial services risk, controls, and audit requirements is preferred.
