Responsibilities
- Design and deliver reusable, reliable, low-latency Java code powering Bullish Exchange.
- Raise code quality, organization, and automation standards as systems scale under load.
- Profile and resolve performance bottlenecks in the order-processing path.
- Improve system stability through unit, integration, and performance testing.
- Collaborate with distributed teams of engineers, product managers, and project managers.
- Own components on which the Exchange depends.
Requirements
- Strong fluency in Java 17+ and experience with performance tuning.
- Track record designing and building high-throughput, low-latency systems.
- Hands-on experience with agentic AI development, LLM integration, prompt engineering, and SDLC automation.
- Understanding of middleware and messaging technologies such as Chronicle Queue, RabbitMQ, Aeron, and Kafka.
- Working knowledge of Spring or Micronaut, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Deep knowledge of testing methodologies, SDLC practices, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Preferred experience with order matching, orderbook generation, Options, Futures, FIX protocol, blockchain technologies, and related workflows.
