Responsibilities
- Design, develop, troubleshoot, review, debug, and deliver secure, high-quality production software solutions.
- Build data solutions including corporate data catalog, data lineage, entitlements, and data quality frameworks.
- Lead adoption and validation of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering and automation practices.
- Identify and automate remediation of recurring issues to improve application and system operational stability.
- Lead evaluation sessions with vendors, startups, and internal teams regarding architecture, technical credentials, and system applicability.
- Own technical design, code quality standards, mentoring, application resiliency, and security within Agile teams.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
- Strong experience building enterprise Java services using Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful APIs.
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL data stores, including Oracle and MongoDB, plus Kafka messaging and Elasticsearch or GemFire for search and caching.
- Experience with Databricks or Snowflake and modern data mesh or data product patterns.
- Experience with test automation and CI/CD tools including JUnit, Mockito, Jenkins, and Spinnaker.
- Proven technical leadership, design ownership, code quality leadership, and engineer mentoring in Agile teams.
- Experience leading approved AI-assisted software development practices and validating AI outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input and output handling, resiliency, security, and compliant adoption practices.
- Preferred experience with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, React, TypeScript, GitHub Copilot, Claude, and data catalog, metadata, lineage, or data governance capabilities on regulated platforms.
