Responsibilities
- Design, develop, troubleshoot, review, and debug secure production software solutions.
- Build enterprise Java services, data solutions, APIs, and microservices for data catalog, lineage, entitlements, and data quality capabilities.
- Lead adoption and validation of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices for coding, code review, testing, troubleshooting, and incident analysis.
- Automate recurring issue remediation and improve application and system operational stability.
- Lead vendor, startup, and internal technical evaluation sessions focused on architecture and integration applicability.
- Own design standards, code quality, testing, resiliency, security, and technical mentoring within Agile teams.
Requirements
- Formal software engineering training or certification and 5+ years of applied experience.
- Strong experience with Java, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, and microservices at scale.
- Strong data engineering experience with SQL, NoSQL, Oracle, MongoDB, Kafka, Elasticsearch, or GemFire.
- Experience with Databricks or Snowflake and modern data mesh or data product patterns.
- Experience with JUnit, Mockito, Jenkins, and Spinnaker for test automation and CI/CD.
- Technical leadership experience including design ownership, code quality standards, mentoring, application resiliency, and security.
- Experience leading approved AI-assisted software development practices and validating AI outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input/output handling, and compliant engineering workflows.
- Preferred experience with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, React, TypeScript, GitHub Copilot, Claude, and data catalog, metadata, lineage, or governance capabilities on regulated platforms.
