Responsibilities
- Monitor and optimize the performance, stability, and uptime of PAS-X and other manufacturing systems.
- Detect, troubleshoot, and resolve issues using Grafana, Atternity, Nagios, and AWS CloudWatch.
- Automate PAS-X deployments and maintenance while applying CI/CD practices in regulated environments.
- Support PAS-X Core3 migration and cloud enablement initiatives to improve scalability and resilience.
- Apply AI-enabled problem solving, Lean, PPS, and Six Sigma principles to identify root causes and prevent recurrence.
- Use Kubernetes, Docker, GitHub/GitLab, Jenkins, and Azure DevOps or similar tools for build, deployment, and release management.
- Collaborate with users, infrastructure and middleware teams, vendors, DevOps teams, and Scrum teams to resolve complex incidents.
- Document technical guidelines and patterns for adoption by global teams.
- Contribute to observability, performance, and continuous-improvement initiatives that reduce downtime.
- Coach junior MES analysts on relevant tools and methodologies.
Requirements
- At least three years of experience in application support and maintenance, including L2/L3 support.
- At least three years of experience managing and supporting a Manufacturing Execution System; Werum PAS-X experience is advantageous.
- Experience with monitoring and anomaly detection for production-control and manufacturing systems.
- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, GitHub/GitLab, Jenkins, and Azure DevOps or similar tools.
- Experience developing and troubleshooting applications built on .NET technologies.
- Strong development and troubleshooting experience with Oracle, SQL Server, or another RDBMS.
- Experience with PowerShell and automation tools such as Microsoft PowerApps or Power Automate.
- Experience with incident, problem, change, and release management following ITIL processes.
- Experience with IT service-management tools such as ServiceNow, Remedy, or Service Manager.
- One or two years of experience supporting or administering Oracle databases, Citrix terminal-served applications, and JVM-hosted applications such as JBoss.
- Ability to apply technical knowledge across multiple systems and support multiple business groups.
- Fluent English communication skills for collaboration with global teams.
- Bachelor of Technology, Bachelor of Engineering, or another equivalent technical qualification.
- Desirable qualifications include life sciences or pharmaceutical experience, manufacturing or warehouse systems experience, Windows Server, Oracle Databases, Microsoft Visual Studio, SQL Developer, GxP, 21 CFR Part 11, application-environment administration, MBA or master's degree, relevant manufacturing or Oracle/Windows Server certification, and ITIL V4 Foundation certification.
