Base Salary
$128k - $160k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, deploy, monitor, operate, and maintain existing or new elements of the Fulfillment technology stack
- Integrate new rider and driver products and features into the state machine and improve ride-state transition performance and reliability
- Write well-tested, readable, maintainable code and participate in code reviews
- Lead projects from idea through execution and communicate tradeoffs and obtain cross-team buy-in
- Participate proactively in resolving ongoing incidents
- Share knowledge through brown bags, technical talks, and engineering-practice evangelism
Requirements
- BS/MS or equivalent in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or relevant work experience
- At least 2 years of software engineering industry experience
- Proficiency in object-oriented programming and scripting languages for API automation
- Experience designing, debugging, and operating fault-tolerant, highly available, large-scale distributed systems
- Experience with public cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Microsoft Azure
- Experience with common CI tools such as Jenkins, Buildkite, CircleCI, or TeamCity, with proficiency in at least one
- Solid knowledge of distributed systems and relational and NoSQL databases
- Ability to communicate in English in writing, meetings, and presentations
