Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and test embedded software and firmware for audio systems, prototypes, and engineering platforms.
  • Develop maintainable code using C/C++ and Python and integrate it with embedded processors and hardware platforms.
  • Create automation tools for testing, performance measurement, and engineering workflows.
  • Debug, validate, and benchmark software performance in embedded environments.
  • Participate in code reviews and follow software development and version-control practices.
  • Document software design, implementation, testing, and validation.
  • Collaborate with software, DSP, acoustics, systems, and hardware engineering teams.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Programming experience with C/C++ and/or Python.
  • Coursework or project experience in embedded systems, software development, algorithms, computer architecture, or operating systems.
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hands-on engineering environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Preferred qualifications include familiarity with embedded processors, RTOS, Linux, embedded Linux, Git, microcontrollers, ARM-based systems, device drivers, and hardware/software interfaces.
  • Preferred experience includes DSP, audio signal processing, real-time audio systems, software testing, automation, CI/CD, performance profiling, laboratory equipment, or electronic hardware.
