Base Salary
$120k - $235k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead system architecture discussions, write design documents, and balance scalability, security, compliance, sustainability, and delivery needs.
- Write, review, debug, optimize, and maintain extensible and performant software across multiple programming languages.
- Lead project planning, experimentation, implementation, and safe deployment across distributed environments.
- Maintain live-site health, create incident response playbooks, lead root cause analyses, and improve service-level performance.
- Build developer tools, production automation, foundational platform components, and reusable building blocks.
- Influence product strategy and roadmap using customer feedback, data insights, competitive analysis, and business goals.
- Collaborate with partner teams to deliver cohesive end-to-end experiences and shared technical direction.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and 4+ years of technical engineering experience coding in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python, or equivalent experience.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements, including the Microsoft Cloud Background Check.
- Preferred: bachelor’s degree and 6+ years of technical engineering experience, or 6+ years designing, building, and operating production-grade software and services at scale.
- Preferred experience designing and building distributed systems and cloud-based services.
- Preferred deep understanding of Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- Preferred hands-on experience with AI-enhanced development tools such as GitHub Copilot and generative AI API platforms such as Azure AI Foundry, OpenAI, or Claude.
- Preferred familiarity with authorization, authentication, OAuth, and agentic protocols such as MCP or A2A.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for explaining complex technical concepts.
