Base Salary
$151k - $205k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own the technical vision and direction for OTA software update systems serving millions of customer terminals.
- Design, automate, deploy, and support large-scale OTA infrastructure and fleet-management systems.
- Develop staged or progressive rollout strategies and automated release-safety mechanisms.
- Build observability and anomaly-detection capabilities for deployed device fleets.
- Work with firmware, satellite networking, operations, principal engineering, and release teams to define technical strategy and improve workflows.
- Use performance metrics, measurement techniques, and verifiable data to assess system health and guide decisions.
Requirements
- Experience leading the design, automation, deployment, and support of large-scale infrastructure.
- Programming experience in at least one modern language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, or Rust.
- Experience with Linux/Unix.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and build processes.
- Experience with OTA update systems, fleet-management platforms, or large-scale device management for IoT, mobile, embedded, or similar systems.
- Experience with staged or progressive rollouts and automated release-safety mechanisms.
- Experience building observability and anomaly detection for device fleets.
- Preferred: experience with distributed systems at scale.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident, lawfully admitted refugee, or person granted asylum due to export-control requirements.
