Responsibilities
- Define target architectures and domain boundaries for core banking and adjacent business domains.
- Lead strategic modernization decisions, including progressive modernization versus replacement, and create credible delivery roadmaps.
- Govern architecture quality, non-functional requirements, design risks, decisions, and release governance in regulated environments.
- Define API and event contracts, data responsibilities, interoperability patterns, and secure AI-ready access patterns.
- Shape scalable, resilient end-to-end solutions and provide guidance from design through build and run.
- Translate business outcomes into design options and actionable plans for senior business and technology stakeholders.
- Support business development through proposal shaping, solution credibility, and mobilization of successful pursuits.
- Coach junior colleagues and contribute reusable patterns, assets, playbooks, and communities of practice.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in solution or domain architecture with significant core-modernization experience.
- Mastery of domain-driven design, API and event integration, and modern platform patterns including microservices, containers, and cloud.
- Experience leading stakeholders at CIO, Chief Architect, and COO levels and producing clear written architecture artifacts.
- Fluency in resilience, security, observability, and release governance for regulated environments.
- Experience across multiple core banking vendors and integrations with channels, general ledger, risk, and data platforms is preferred.
- Experience establishing architecture review boards and guardrails for multi-vendor delivery teams is preferred.
