Responsibilities
- Design, build, and evolve scalable machine learning platform capabilities for feature engineering, feature discoverability, model inference, and operational workflows.
- Deliver high-quality software through system design, low-level design, coding, testing, debugging, and performance optimization.
- Improve platform reliability, performance, security, observability, and operational health by resolving production issues and addressing root causes.
- Partner with engineers and stakeholders to define technical approaches, influence platform direction, and support adoption of shared ML infrastructure and services.
- Make technical decisions across platform services and components while balancing delivery, scalability, maintainability, and developer experience.
- Safely integrate and operate AI/ML-enabled solutions and apply AI/ML concepts to real-world products.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent related professional experience.
- 8+ years of relevant professional experience.
- Ownership of complex services or multi-service components, including accountability for design, delivery, and operational excellence.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals, including system design, low-level design, coding, testing, debugging, and performance optimization.
- Experience with machine learning platforms, data-intensive systems, or infrastructure supporting model development, deployment, or lifecycle management.
- Preferred: experience scaling ML platform capabilities across broad engineering use cases.
- Preferred: experience with AI-assisted development tools, agentic workflows, tradeoff evaluation, reliability management, and AI-tool adoption practices.
- Preferred: architecture leadership, platform extensibility, technical standards, production reliability, observability, automation, instrumentation, and data-driven operational improvement.
- Preferred: experience with AI/ML-enabled products or platforms and workflows such as model training, inference, feature pipelines, or evaluation frameworks.
