Base Salary
$206k - $286k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and operate critical large-scale systems managing financial information for Stripe and its partners.
- Develop petabyte-scale financial data platforms, solutions, and pipelines using Big Data technologies and distributed systems.
- Debug production issues across services and multiple levels of the stack while analyzing complex datasets.
- Design scalable data pipelines and execute projects providing insights into Stripe’s financial performance.
- Provide technical direction and lead cross-team alignment for multi-team projects.
- Monitor and handle incidents affecting data pipelines, meet SLOs, and reduce operational toil through automation.
- Apply knowledge of payments and financial technology across countries in a regulated fintech environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems Security, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of related Software Engineering experience.
- At least 5 years of programming experience in Java, Scala, or Python.
- At least 5 years of experience designing, building, and maintaining scalable distributed systems.
- At least 5 years of experience debugging production issues across services and multiple levels of the stack.
- At least 5 years of experience with testing tools and frameworks including JUnit, Mockito, and TestNG.
- At least 4 years of experience developing complex SQL queries, analyzing datasets, and designing large-scale data pipelines.
- At least 4 years of experience working in the fintech domain.
- At least 4 years of experience leading cross-team projects and building alignment on multi-team technical direction.
- At least 1 year of experience with Apache Spark or similar modern Big Data technologies.
