Machine Learning Engineer

Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable ML systems from data ingestion and preprocessing through training, testing, and deployment.
- Develop and optimize end-to-end ML pipelines for data collection, labeling, training, validation, monitoring, reliability, and reproducibility.
- Implement MLOps practices including model versioning, experiment tracking, ML deployment automation, and continuous production monitoring.
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to integrate and deploy efficient, scalable models into real-time products.
- Ensure data quality, observability, and performance across AI systems.
- Track advances in AI infrastructure, tooling, and research and apply them to the company’s products.
- Help shape the technology and direction of the ML function as one of the company’s first ML hires.
Requirements
- Strong experience in machine learning, deep learning, and NLP.
- Experience with MLOps and data pipelines, including model deployment, monitoring, and production scaling.
- Proficiency in Python and familiarity with Go.
- Experience with ML lifecycle management tools such as MLflow, Kubeflow, or Weights & Biases.
- Ability to design robust, scalable, and automated ML systems.
- Strong coding, debugging, and data engineering skills.
- Experience with speech recognition, TTS, or audio processing is a plus.
- Familiarity with LLMs, generative AI, or real-time inference systems is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with Airflow, Prefect, or Dagster is a plus.
- Knowledge of AWS, GCP, Azure, Docker, or Kubernetes is a plus.
- Prior startup experience with rapid iteration cycles is a plus.
- Strong ownership, independence, and willingness to work deeply on problems are expected.
