Responsibilities
- Work across frontend, backend, cloud infrastructure, and test automation.
- Maintain high standards for internal services and open-source tooling and libraries.
- Deploy service and infrastructure changes frequently using CI/CD.
- Contribute to ideation, customer engagement, planning, design, prototyping, execution, shipping, and operational excellence.
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, UX designers, UX researchers, and other cross-functional partners.
- Mentor more junior engineers and promote strong coding, service, and cloud infrastructure standards.
- Solve complex technical problems and help validate ideas and approaches.
- Define success criteria for the team and the features it builds and ships.
Requirements
- Proficiency with Java.
- Familiarity with algorithms, data structures, and coding best practices.
- Experience with distributed systems at scale.
- Understanding of event-driven architecture, including its principles, advantages, and limitations.
- Hands-on experience with Kinesis, Kafka, or similar technologies.
- Experience improving large-scale event-processing systems is desirable.
- Experience with database log streams such as MS-SQL Transaction Logs and MySQL Bin Logs is desirable.
- Experience with stream-processing frameworks such as Flink, Spark, or similar is desirable.
- Squad lead or team lead experience is desirable.
- Fluency in English and ongoing legal eligibility to work in India.
