Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain Java-based enterprise applications.
- Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and SOAP services for backend connectivity and business processes.
- Manage Oracle SQL/PL/SQL and MongoDB data storage, retrieval, and integration.
- Build and support AI-powered automation for data pipelines and ETL processes.
- Use Devin and GitHub Copilot in accordance with engineering, security, and quality standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve application, integration, database, data-pipeline, performance, and data-quality issues.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, release processes, and deployment improvements.
- Participate in agile planning, estimation, refinement, reviews, retrospectives, code reviews, and delivery activities.
- Collaborate with engineering, QA, data, architecture, operations, and other stakeholders.
- Document technical designs, implementation decisions, operational procedures, and support requirements.
- Optimize application, service, database, and pipeline performance and resource usage.
Requirements
- 7+ years of professional Java development experience, including enterprise application delivery.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or an equivalent combination of relevant education, training, and professional experience.
- Demonstrated experience with REST APIs, SOAP services, backend integrations, Oracle SQL/PL/SQL, Unix/Linux, and MongoDB.
- Experience with Maven, Gradle, Git, GHE, Tibco EMS, CI/CD practices, agile methodologies, and AI-powered data-pipeline or ETL automation.
- Experience with Java application upgrades, performance optimization, automated testing, deployment, monitoring, or data-quality validation is preferred.
- Experience supporting high-performance, scalable platforms and resolving production or integration issues is preferred.
- Experience in financial services, banking, insurance, technology, or other regulated enterprise environments is preferred.
- Relevant technical certifications are preferred but not required.
- Ability to apply secure coding, access-control, data-protection, and deployment practices to enterprise applications.
- Strong structured problem-solving, collaboration, communication, adaptability, and prioritization skills.
