Responsibilities
- Hire, onboard, manage, and develop a regional team of 5–10 Solutions Engineers.
- Coach the team on research, discovery, demos, workshops, Proofs of Concept, champion building, and customer handover.
- Stay hands-on in high-impact deals and lead or coach technical evaluations, executive readouts, and business-value narratives.
- Design and evolve demo methodology across Studio, Roleplay Sessions, and Interactive Avatars.
- Build and maintain presales toolkits, demo environments, reusable assets, evaluation guides, and objection-handling resources.
- Own presales forecasting, pipeline hygiene, performance reporting, win-rate tracking, and Proof-of-Concept throughput.
- Partner with Sales leadership on account strategy, territory planning, and opportunity resourcing.
- Surface deal risks, product gaps, technical dependencies, field feedback, and competitive intelligence to relevant leadership teams.
- Develop team fluency in MEDDPICC and Command of the Message through practical coaching.
Requirements
- Experience recruiting, managing, and developing Solutions Engineering or presales teams.
- Experience owning the employee lifecycle from hiring through onboarding, development, and promotions, including teams built from scratch.
- Background progressing from an individual contributor Solutions Engineering role into leadership with expertise in complex opportunities and a specific business area or vertical.
- Track record of improving team performance through coaching, hands-on deal support, and consistent presales execution.
- Experience owning forecasting, pipeline hygiene, and performance reporting from a presales perspective.
- Fluency in MEDDPICC and Command of the Message, with the ability to coach both new and experienced Solutions Engineers.
- Strong communication skills spanning technical detail and executive-level value narratives.
- Collaborative leadership style and experience partnering with Sales, Product, Customer Success, and Product Marketing leadership.
