Responsibilities
- Prepare technical design specifications and written knowledge-transfer materials.
- Review requirements, analysis, and design documents and provide feedback.
- Implement, test, maintain, and support software based on technical specifications.
- Lead architecture, design, implementation, architecture reviews, and code reviews for robust, scalable web services.
- Improve system quality by identifying issues and patterns, developing procedures, and maintaining existing codebases.
- Collaborate with colleagues, product stakeholders, customer support, and cross-functional teams to deliver technical solutions.
- Investigate and apply relevant technologies and assist with technical customer problems.
- Provide technical leadership, make independent decisions, and mentor less experienced developers when needed.
- Lead or participate in projects involving cloud, DevOps, AI modernization, automation, and engineering toolchains.
Requirements
- At least 15 years of experience in Java full-stack development and Java Enterprise Edition.
- At least 10 years of experience developing systems or software for large business environments.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; a master's degree is a plus.
- Strong object-oriented design and service-oriented architecture principles, preferably implemented in Java.
- Strong experience leading architecture, design, and implementation of robust, highly scalable web services.
- Experience with AWS and/or Azure SaaS infrastructure, DevOps technologies, and extensive debugging.
- Understanding of unit, test-driven, functional, and performance testing.
- At least 5 years of experience developing and debugging distributed systems and working with cloud-based big data systems.
- Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL database systems and data architecture.
- Experience with React, Pulsar, Snowflake, software security tools, shell scripting, big data, machine learning, LLMs, automation, or AI modernization is preferred or advantageous.
- Ability to lead technical initiatives, mentor developers, communicate clearly, and operate from business strategy through detailed implementation.
