
Senior Software Engineer II - Billing Engineering

Responsibilities
- Resolve escalated support tickets involving invoicing, collections, payments, dunning, taxation, and customer bug reports.
- Develop automation tooling for billing and customer-management platforms to reduce operational cost and resolution time.
- Own billing platform operations involving credits, discounts, promotions, commitment deals, tax regions, vendor ledgers, refunds, write-offs, and month-close compliance reporting.
- Design and maintain tooling for internal billing and customer-management operational tasks.
- Collaborate with architecture and cloud operations teams to improve platform stability and operational excellence.
- Develop revenue assurance tooling and synthetic tests to detect potential revenue leaks.
- Own operational aspects of new product launches and coordinate with product teams for timely delivery.
- Collaborate with engineering, product management, finance, sales, and support teams on processes and roadmaps.
- Improve platform and control-plane documentation, processes, and procedures.
Requirements
- Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Go; Ruby experience is a plus.
- Experience with distributed systems and complex multi-service deployments.
- Hands-on knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, gRPC, Kafka, MySQL, and Redis.
- Experience with scripting and automation tools such as Python and shell scripting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
