Responsibilities
- Assist in leading software engineering development tasks within an Agile framework.
- Develop and maintain incremental team plans to meet program milestones.
- Manage team performance against scope, schedule, and budget.
- Identify and resolve impediments, forecast and mitigate risks, and support opportunities.
- Present and support technical discussions with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with software certification requirements and improve engineering processes and best practices.
- Coordinate resource needs between program management and engineering leadership.
Requirements
- Typically requires a STEM degree and at least 5 years of relevant experience, or an advanced related degree and at least 3 years of experience.
- Must be able to obtain a U.S. Department of Defense security clearance after day one and meet government investigation eligibility requirements.
- Experience with software architecture, design, and development using C, C++, Java, Ada, or Python.
- Experience as a Scrum Master or Product Owner in an Agile software development environment.
- Experience with JAMA, DOORS, ALM, JIRA, or similar engineering tools.
- Experience developing software from requirements through verification.
- Preferred qualifications include avionics, aircraft, embedded software, Ada, Mil-Std-1553B, Ethernet/TCP/UDP, military radio or surveillance, CAM, CDU-7000 Flight2, and leadership experience.
- Strong collaboration, problem-solving, decision-making, communication, and teamwork skills are preferred.
- U.S. citizenship is required because only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under the program or contract.
