Base Salary

$87k - $165k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Architect and develop core software components, libraries, and tooling for avionics platforms.
  • Drive technical direction and execution across development and verification activities for safety-critical software.
  • Develop software requirements, decomposition, and traceability across complex systems.
  • Develop and verify software using modern C++ and object-oriented design principles.
  • Create DO-178 certification artifacts, including DAL-A deliverables, and support certification efforts with customers and regulatory authorities.
  • Conduct and contribute to peer reviews across the software lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with engineering, program leadership, and customers to align technical solutions with program objectives.
  • Travel domestically and internationally as required.

Requirements

  • A STEM degree and at least 5 years of relevant experience, or an advanced related degree and at least 3 years of experience.
  • U.S. citizenship and status as a U.S. Person are required for access to program information.
  • Experience designing and developing software architecture, libraries, or platform-level components in aerospace or safety-critical environments.
  • Ability to lead technical execution, engage customers, and present to stakeholders.
  • Experience supporting safety-critical airborne software development and certification activities.
  • Preferred experience with DO-178, C++, VxWorks, high- and low-level requirements, test cases, automated test procedures, and Civil Certification DO-178 DAL A.
  • Preferred experience with flight management systems, aircraft applications, middleware, and revision-control or project tools such as Git, Subversion, and JIRA.
