Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end delivery of priority AI/ML use cases from problem framing and business case development through deployed, monitored production services.
- Lead the engineering build of agentic AI and LLM-powered products for advisors and clients across international markets.
- Set the team's engineering quality bar through code reviews, technical design, and pairing with junior engineers.
- Establish and operate responsible AI controls, including guardrails, evaluation frameworks, observability, and model risk controls.
- Partner with business stakeholders to identify AI/ML opportunities and shape them into funded workstreams.
- Represent the AIML team in firm-wide AI/ML governance and engineering forums while addressing regulatory and data-privacy considerations.
- Contribute to GenAI education through training content, knowledge sharing, and mentoring.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in AI/ML engineering concepts and at least five years of applied experience.
- Advanced proficiency in Python and modern software engineering practices, including testing, design patterns, code review, and version control.
- Fluency with AI coding tools such as Claude Code and GitHub Copilot.
- Hands-on experience building, evaluating, and deploying machine learning models into production.
- Practical experience with large language models, prompt engineering, RAG, fine-tuning, and agentic frameworks.
- Practical experience with CI/CD, containerization, and cloud-native deployment patterns.
- Experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability for ML or data-intensive systems.
- Strong communication skills and experience translating technical concepts for senior non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience solving complex technology problems across multiple technical disciplines.
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent applied experience.
- Preferred qualifications include an industry-recognized cloud or GenAI certification, financial services technology experience, Databricks or Kubernetes experience, AI governance or model validation experience, and familiarity with JPMorgan internal AI/ML infrastructure.
