Responsibilities
- Define testing strategy and ensure adequate coverage in line with software testing principles and practices.
- Design, create, and maintain manual, automated, and non-functional tests across application layers.
- Configure and use test automation and continuous integration tools.
- Provide technical test leadership and direction within a multi-skilled Agile team.
- Interact with customers, share knowledge, and mentor colleagues.
- Manage, coach, and develop a small number of staff, including setting objectives, giving feedback, and leading performance reviews.
- Support delivery of quality application software suitable for promotion to users.
Requirements
- Experience ensuring testing layers provide adequate coverage.
- Expertise designing, creating, and maintaining manual and automated tests across application layers, including non-functional testing.
- Experience with test automation technologies such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, Cucumber, Cypress, or Playwright.
- Experience configuring Jenkins and/or TeamCity in a continuous integration environment.
- Practical knowledge of at least one object-oriented programming language, such as Java.
- Strong technical awareness and understanding of software architectures.
- Experience managing others, setting objectives, giving feedback, and leading performance reviews.
- Desirable experience serving as a Test Lead or similar on a medium-to-large Agile project.
- Desirable stakeholder management experience and commercial awareness.
