Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and support scalable full stack applications and cloud-native solutions on AWS.
- Build data integration capabilities and data APIs for asset management, investment, research, trading, and operations teams.
- Contribute to application architecture, design reviews, and technology selection decisions.
- Lead development efforts, conduct code reviews, and promote engineering best practices.
- Drive system reliability, performance optimization, security, and operational excellence.
- Provide technical direction and collaborate with distributed teams across India, Ireland, and the United States.
- Troubleshoot complex production issues and lead root-cause analysis and resolution.
- Participate in agile ceremonies, knowledge-sharing sessions, and code and design reviews.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or Computer Science, MCA, or equivalent.
- 5-9 years of experience in software engineering, full stack development, data engineering, or cloud platform development.
- Strong experience with Oracle SQL/PLSQL, data modeling, performance tuning, OLTP/data warehousing, ETL/ELT, and Informatica.
- Hands-on expertise in Java, Python, and data APIs.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services including EC2, Lambda, S3, IAM, and API Gateway.
- Understanding of cloud-native architecture, deployment patterns, and distributed systems.
- Experience with Unix/Linux, shell scripting, CI/CD pipelines, automation practices, and job scheduling tools such as Autosys, Control-M, or Cron.
- Strong problem-solving, stakeholder management, communication, technical leadership, mentoring, and team-building skills.
- Preferred qualifications include Snowflake or modern cloud data platform experience, test automation and Acceptance Test Driven Development knowledge, relevant asset management or financial services experience, and AWS Certified Developer or Solutions Architect Associate certification.
