Software Engineer III - Java Full Stack, AWS
JPMorgan ChaseResponsibilities
- Design, develop, debug, and maintain Java 21 and Spring Boot microservices, React/TypeScript frontends, and Vite applications.
- Manage Terraform infrastructure configurations deployed to AWS ECS.
- Create secure, high-quality production code and maintain algorithms that integrate with appropriate systems.
- Contribute to application architecture and design artifacts while ensuring software meets design constraints.
- Analyze large and diverse datasets and develop visualizations and reporting to improve software applications and systems.
- Use authorized AI coding-assistance tools for code generation, refactoring, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation while validating outputs through review, testing, and secure coding practices.
- Identify patterns and hidden problems in data to improve coding hygiene and system architecture.
- Contribute to software engineering communities of practice and emerging-technology events.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and at least 3 years of applied experience.
- Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Proficiency in Java, React, and JavaScript.
- Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment using modern programming and database-querying languages.
- Understanding of the software development life cycle and agile practices, including CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and the ability to evaluate and refine generated outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input/output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
- Ability to guide peers on safe and effective AI-assisted engineering practices.
- Preferred experience with AWS Cloud and knowledge of technical disciplines such as cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, or mobile.
