Software Engineer III - Java FullStack
JPMorgan ChaseResponsibilities
- Design, develop, troubleshoot, and maintain secure, scalable, high-quality production software.
- Build and maintain Java-based applications using Spring Boot, microservices, SQL, NoSQL, cloud technologies, and Kafka.
- Create architecture and design artifacts and ensure software implementation meets design constraints.
- Use enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development tools for coding, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation while validating outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Apply software development lifecycle tools and automation to improve engineering productivity and delivery.
- Analyze large and diverse datasets, create visualizations and reports, and use findings to improve applications, coding hygiene, and system architecture.
- Support testing, application resiliency, security, and operational stability in a large corporate environment.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and at least 3 years of applied experience.
- Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment using modern programming and database querying languages.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and the ability to evaluate, validate, and refine generated outputs.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input and output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
- Knowledge of the software development lifecycle and agile engineering practices.
- Hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, microservices, SQL, NoSQL, cloud-native technologies, and Kafka.
- Ability to guide peers in safe and effective use of AI-assisted development tools.
- Familiarity with React.js is preferred.
- Exposure to AWS or Azure is preferred.
