Responsibilities
- Partner with product managers, designers, engineers, and partner teams to establish quality throughout the product lifecycle.
- Develop risk-based test strategies, plans, cases, documentation, and quality standards for complex systems.
- Perform manual and automated testing across web and mobile applications, including exploratory, functional, acceptance, regression, end-to-end, and UI testing.
- Test mobile applications across iOS and Android devices, operating-system versions, screen sizes, and network conditions.
- Test REST APIs and backend services for correctness, reliability, and resilience.
- Develop and improve test automation standards, frameworks, coverage, reliability, maintainability, and execution speed.
- Identify, prioritize, track, and resolve defects and quality risks, including leading root cause analysis.
- Communicate test strategy, quality risks, release readiness, and technical tradeoffs to varied stakeholders.
- Drive systemic quality and process improvements through completion and mentor technical and non-technical colleagues.
- Evaluate accessibility against WCAG through manual and automated testing and contribute to performance and security testing based on product risk.
Requirements
- 7+ years of professional software quality assurance experience.
- Demonstrated success leading quality initiatives across cross-functional and partner teams.
- Deep knowledge of QA methodologies, test design techniques, and risk-based testing for complex systems.
- Strong understanding of web and mobile technologies, client-server architecture, APIs, integrations, and system dependencies.
- Proficiency in at least one of JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, or Java.
- Experience developing or improving test automation frameworks and integrating automated tests into delivery workflows.
- Knowledge of accessibility testing and WCAG, with experience using tools such as Axe, Lighthouse, or screen readers.
- Experience with defect tracking and test-management tools such as Jira in an Agile development environment.
- Strong analytical and communication skills, including explaining quality risks and technical tradeoffs to varied audiences.
- Experience driving cross-functional quality or process improvements and mentoring technical and non-technical colleagues.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
