Responsibilities
- Partner with product managers, designers, engineers, and partner teams to establish quality throughout the product lifecycle.
- Develop risk-based test strategies, plans, cases, and documentation for complex systems.
- Perform manual and automated exploratory, functional, acceptance, regression, end-to-end, UI, web, mobile, API, and backend testing.
- Test native or cross-platform iOS and Android applications across devices, operating-system versions, screen sizes, and network conditions.
- Define and improve test automation standards, frameworks, coverage, reliability, maintainability, and execution speed.
- Identify, prioritize, document, and track defects and quality risks through resolution.
- Lead root-cause analysis and drive systemic quality and process improvements.
- Communicate test strategy, quality risks, release readiness, and tradeoffs to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Mentor engineers and other team members in quality practices and shared ownership.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
- Evaluate applications against accessibility requirements, including WCAG, through manual and automated testing.
- Contribute to performance and security testing based on product risk and team needs.
Requirements
- 7+ years of professional software quality assurance experience.
- Demonstrated success leading quality initiatives across cross-functional and partner teams.
- Deep knowledge of QA methodologies, test design techniques, and risk-based testing for complex systems.
- Strong understanding of web and mobile technologies, client-server architecture, APIs, integrations, and system dependencies.
- Hands-on experience testing REST APIs, backend services, and native or cross-platform mobile applications.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language such as JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, or Java.
- Experience developing or improving test automation frameworks and integrating automated tests into CI/CD workflows.
- Knowledge of accessibility testing and WCAG, with experience using tools such as Axe, Lighthouse, or screen readers.
- Experience with defect tracking and test-management tools such as Jira in an Agile development environment.
- Strong analytical and communication skills, including explaining quality risks and technical tradeoffs to varied audiences.
- Record of driving cross-functional quality or process improvements through completion.
- Experience mentoring technical and non-technical colleagues and building quality capability across teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
