Responsibilities

  • Design, build, test, and deliver features across PingOne Authentication and SSO services.
  • Implement secure and reliable Java microservices and APIs supporting authentication, authorization, SSO, federation, and application integrations.
  • Contribute to technical designs and engineering decisions addressing product requirements, performance, reliability, security, and operational simplicity.
  • Collaborate with Product Management, Architecture, UX, SRE, and peer engineering teams from discovery through production rollout.
  • Improve service resilience, observability, operability, and deployment safety.
  • Advance engineering quality through testing, automation, code reviews, and maintainable implementations.
  • Use modern engineering and AI-assisted development practices to improve team effectiveness and delivery.
  • Participate in on-call rotation, incident response, root-cause analysis, and follow-up actions for production issues.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of OIDC, SAML, and WS-Fed, including SSO and federation integrations, protocol troubleshooting, and identity provider/service provider configuration.
  • Significant hands-on experience building and deploying highly scalable, high-performance cloud services, ideally in a multi-tenant SaaS environment.
  • Senior-level Java development experience with object-oriented design and modern engineering practices.
  • Experience with UI development; ReactJS is preferred.
  • Experience designing and building microservices and REST APIs, ideally with Spring or similar frameworks.
  • Strong technical judgment and experience contributing to technical designs, proof-of-concept work, and architecture discussions.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across a large, globally distributed engineering organization.
  • Experience operating or supporting production SaaS systems, including on-call responsibilities and incident response.
  • Comfort with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and modern build and delivery tooling.
  • Preferred experience evaluating or building AI agents, agent identity, non-human identity, MCP, or related integrations.
  • Preferred familiarity with Cassandra, Kafka, and event-driven distributed systems.
  • Preferred familiarity with secure coding practices, OWASP guidance, PKI, cryptography, and certificate/key management.
