Base Salary
$145k - $220k/yr
Responsibilities
- Support live-operations initiatives and game design releases with backend support before and after launch.
- Coordinate with the design team throughout game updates and content releases.
- Lead incident management, reliability hardening, and operational readiness for production systems.
- Drive the backend technical roadmap and scalable, high-performance architecture for live mobile games.
- Design and deliver high-impact features connecting server-side logic with game client requirements.
- Unblock Product, Design, QA, and Analytics teams, facilitate design discussions, and mentor teammates.
- Contribute hands-on feature development across client and server codebases while maintaining code quality.
- Identify and mitigate technical debt and operational bottlenecks.
Requirements
- 6+ years of professional software development experience in gaming or large-scale live-service applications.
- Deep backend engineering expertise with high-level server-side languages and frameworks.
- Experience collaborating with game client engineers, including Unity and C#, to deliver integrated features.
- Experience designing scalable systems and managing live-service operations.
- Familiarity with AWS or equivalent cloud infrastructure and modern CI/CD practices.
- Experience with content pipelines and performance optimization.
- Experience building and supporting player-facing features such as progression, social features, live events, and monetization.
- Experience leading technical planning, managing technical roadmaps, and balancing feature delivery with system health.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong communication, leadership, collaboration, mentorship, ownership, and problem-solving skills.
