Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend and service-layer solutions for the handheld store application.
- Build and enhance features in collaboration with product, engineering, and store-operations stakeholders.
- Participate in code, design, and test reviews to ensure quality, maintainability, and performance.
- Apply DevOps practices for continuous integration, automated testing, and deployment.
- Integrate monitoring and alerting tools to support reliability in a 24/7 environment.
- Contribute to Agile ceremonies, refine team processes, and use data-driven approaches to validate and improve product features.
- Troubleshoot issues throughout the development lifecycle and support ongoing platform improvements.
Requirements
- Strong professional experience with JavaScript and Node.js.
- Experience with Vue.js or another modern frontend framework.
- Solid understanding of REST APIs and service-oriented architecture.
- Experience with distributed or microservices-based systems.
- Some experience working with AWS services.
- Understanding of version control, unit and integration testing, clean code, and other software engineering best practices.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Experience with Kafka and event-driven architecture is preferred.
- Familiarity with Cypress or Playwright for automated testing is preferred.
- Familiarity with GitLab CI/CD is preferred.
