Responsibilities
- Design and develop distributed system software for Ethernet switch products in L2, L3, and VXLAN areas.
- Develop SDK and switching software for next-generation network ASICs.
- Collaborate with hardware, ASIC, marketing, and testing teams throughout product delivery.
- Work with Distinguished and Principal Engineers on scale, performance, and reliability.
- Participate in the software development lifecycle from innovation and marketing requirements through product delivery.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or computer science, typically combined with 4+ years of related experience.
- Strong proficiency in C and C++ and experience with network programming and protocols.
- Strong working knowledge of L2, L3, VXLAN, MPLS, ACL, and QoS networking technologies.
- Understanding of operating systems and distributed systems.
- Hands-on experience with switch or router software development.
- Experience in ACL, QoS, L2, L3, or another networking protocol.
- Experience developing SDKs for custom or merchant ASICs is preferred.
