Responsibilities
- Provide technical direction and shape the architecture of a new platform for AI applications.
- Design, build, test, and deliver core distributed-systems platform components.
- Improve the performance, scalability, and reliability of distributed-systems infrastructure.
- Collaborate with research, product management, product engineering, product design, and other engineering teams.
- Contribute to architecture decisions, code reviews, development practices, and developer experience.
- Mentor fellow engineers and take ownership and accountability for projects.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience building distributed systems and/or foundational cloud services at scale.
- Strong background in high-scale compute and data distributed systems.
- Interest in working with Python, Go, and Java.
- Experience designing, writing, testing, debugging, and performance-tuning distributed or highly concurrent software in large, long-lived codebases.
- Track record of identifying problems, implementing solutions, and delivering complex distributed-systems or database projects.
- Strong foundational computer science knowledge and verbal and written technical communication skills.
- Collaborative mindset, eagerness to learn, and strong technical background.
- Bonus experience with containerization, Kubernetes, orchestration platforms, and AI frameworks or tools.
