Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders, product managers, and customers to understand business challenges and design effective software solutions.
- Measure and use data to drive engineering decisions.
- Design, test, code, instrument, and maintain new software solutions.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
- Apply test-driven and behavior-driven development practices and microservice and vertical slice architectures.
- Support live applications through monitoring, incident response, and continuous improvement.
- Analyze systems and processes to identify bottlenecks and improvement opportunities.
- Lead team initiatives using broad experience and deep technical knowledge.
- Mentor peers and foster continuous learning.
- Hold the team accountable for delivering quality results using defined OKRs.
- Discuss plans and results with senior managers and advise on complex technical matters.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or demonstrable equivalent experience.
- At least 10 years of experience in software engineering.
- Strong problem-solving skills and excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Passion for keeping up with modern technologies and design.
- Experience with C#, Python, Docker, modern relational databases such as MS SQL or Postgres, ASP.NET RESTful API design, Kafka and event-driven design, Terraform, modern web UI frameworks such as Angular, React, or Blazor, Kubernetes, and NoSQL databases.
- Helm, ArgoCD, GitHub Actions, and GraphQL experience or dedication to learning them quickly.
