Responsibilities
- Configure, diagnose, debug, network, and analyze the performance of Linux-based embedded systems.
- Define, configure, and optimize software solutions for rail-grade passenger information devices across multiple hardware platforms.
- Investigate software, hardware, embedded-platform, and network interactions to identify root causes and improve reliability, performance, and maintainability.
- Contribute to customer projects for major suppliers in the global rail industry.
- Collaborate with system engineering, hardware, and test teams to ensure end-to-end solution operation.
- Use AI-supported tools and evaluate new technologies, tools, and approaches to improve engineering efficiency and product robustness.
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a comparable field; an electrotechnical background is a plus.
- Solid experience with Linux-based systems, software configuration, or solution architecture in embedded environments.
- Strong C++ skills and a solid understanding of software fundamentals.
- Hands-on troubleshooting skills, structured problem-solving ability, and interest in software-hardware interaction and system integration.
- Knowledge of software architecture and design principles is a plus.
- Ability to learn new technologies and systematically understand complex technical environments.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- C1-level English proficiency.
