Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance flight-control software based on requirements from aerodynamics and flight-control teams.
- Improve and maintain Ground Control Station software for flight-test and operations activities.
- Integrate cameras, gimbals, mission-specific payloads, sensors, communication systems, and onboard technologies into the aircraft software architecture.
- Maintain and improve continuous-integration test environments and hardware test benches.
- Define, execute, and oversee ground and flight-test campaigns to validate software performance.
- Support field flight testing by troubleshooting and optimizing software in real-world conditions.
- Collaborate with Flight Control, Navigation, Payload Integration, and other multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver aircraft-level software solutions.
Requirements
- 3+ years of professional software development experience.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Robotics, Control Systems, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Strong programming skills in C/C++ and Python.
- Experience deploying software on embedded or real-time systems.
- Experience testing, validating, and debugging complex software systems.
- Understanding of rapid prototyping, iterative development, and engineering for hardware integration.
- Experience in fast-paced, high-technology environments with adaptability and ownership.
