- Create consistent application deployment processes for general and specialized development, including AI-assisted development.
- Establish secure AI adoption practices, AI guardrails, observability, governance, and AI operations support.
- Develop golden-path platform guardrails and built-in capabilities that accelerate application go-live and encourage low-friction platform adoption.
- Lead the long-term platform roadmap, incorporating AI capabilities and AI operations.
- Engineer resilient traffic paths with timeouts, retries, circuit breaking, failure isolation, chaos testing, automated remediation, and reduced MTTR.
- Drive observability standards covering request paths, identity, routes, outcomes, saturation, cost, and applied policies across environments.
- Provide documentation, diagrams, diagnostics, and connection-troubleshooting flows to shorten support loops.
- Optimize latency, cross-AZ transfer, IP consumption, and load-balancer efficiency while acting on anomalies.
- Steward code and resource lifecycles through versioning, migrations, deprecations, usage telemetry, and removal of unused resources.
- Mentor engineers and partner with adjacent teams to embed platform abstractions into golden paths and improve organizational consistency.
- Automate policies and processes for deployment practices, code hygiene, and testing practices.

- Working knowledge of CI/CD build pipelines using GitHub or GitLab.
- Competence in observability and SLOs, including metrics, tracing, structured logs, L4/L7 telemetry, request-path visibility, policy visibility, and SLI/SLO definition and enforcement.
- Experience with infrastructure as code and delivery using Terraform or CDK, GitOps with GitHub Actions or GitLab CI, progressive or canary rollouts, and policy-as-code integration.
- Experience with AI-assisted development processes and the benefits and challenges of using AI to accelerate deliverables.
- Experience evaluating AI platforms, AI models, and new products through proofs of concept.
