Base Salary

$160k - $180k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Own the strategy, roadmap, and execution for developer experience and AI tooling across Tatari engineering.
  • Evaluate, deploy, and drive adoption of AI coding assistants and agentic development tools, including enablement, best practices, guardrails, and cost management.
  • Design and build internal AI-powered agents and automations for CI failure triage, incident response tooling, code review assistance, operational runbooks, and internal bots.
  • Improve CI/CD pipeline speed and reliability, build and test infrastructure, local development environments, and deployment workflows.
  • Design and implement ephemeral, production-like developer environments across Tatari’s microservice landscape.
  • Define and instrument developer productivity metrics, including DORA-style delivery metrics and AI tooling adoption and impact.
  • Partner with application engineering, data science, and analytics teams to understand workflows and create improvements they will adopt.
  • Participate in technical architecture discussions.

Requirements

  • At least five years of experience in cloud-based infrastructure, platform, or developer tooling roles; Staff-level candidates should have driven tooling or platform adoption across multiple teams.
  • Daily hands-on use of AI coding assistants such as Claude Code, Cursor, or Copilot.
  • Experience building with LLM APIs and agentic workflows, including function or tool calling, MCP, prompt design, or agent frameworks.
  • Experience owning or significantly improving CI/CD systems, build and test infrastructure, or developer environments with measurable results.
  • Strong Python and shell scripting skills.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration such as Kubernetes or Docker.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code, preferably Terraform.
  • Empathy for engineering teams and a strong drive to eliminate developer toil.
  • Experience running an AI tooling rollout or enablement program is preferred.
  • Experience with LLM evaluation approaches for internal tooling is preferred.
  • Experience building ephemeral or preview environments in a microservice architecture is preferred.
  • Go or Rust experience is preferred.
  • Experience with GitHub Actions at scale, build caching, or test parallelization and flake management is preferred.
  • Experience managing RDBMS and data infrastructure, including Postgres, RDS, or Redshift, is preferred.
