Responsibilities
- Own and evolve the GCP landing zone across networking, IAM, security, and governance.
- Maintain and extend the infrastructure-as-code estate and its deployment automation.
- Act as the architectural authority for cloud and system design, including setting standards and reviewing designs.
- Support engineering teams onboarding onto the platform and maintain a smooth self-service path.
- Improve platform cost, security posture, reliability, and alignment between documentation and the running environment.
- Advocate for DevOps practices across the organization.
Requirements
- Strong cloud architecture background with deep GCP experience.
- Understanding of landing-zone concepts including organizational hierarchy, network design, identity, organizational policy, and security baselines.
- Fluency with Terraform or OpenTofu and ideally Terragrunt.
- Ability to understand and extend an existing system and its design decisions without unnecessarily rewriting it.
- Broad DevOps and platform-engineering judgment, including CI/CD, observability, and release safety.
- Ability to work independently and communicate decisions clearly to engineers and stakeholders.
- AWS experience is a plus.
- Experience with Gemini Enterprise and agent platforms is a plus.
- Google Professional Cloud Architect or Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer certification is a plus.
